Catherine Horton, MS, CCC-SLP, BCBA, CAGS, is the U.S. Clinical Director for Pyramid Educational Consultants and is dually certified as a Speech-Language Pathologist by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Maine with a B.A. in Communication Sciences and Disorders and earned her M.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of New Hampshire. Catherine also holds a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Educational Leadership from the University of New England.

Prior to joining Pyramid Educational Consultants, Catherine worked as a speech-language pathologist providing services to children with significant support needs in hospital, group home, and school settings. She has been with Pyramid for over 20 years and currently provides training on PECS® and the Pyramid Approach to Education® to parents and professionals across the United States. She also consults with educational and clinical teams, focusing on the development of effective communication systems and learning environments for individuals with complex support needs.

Catherine has published literature in Behavior Analysis in PracticeFocus on Autism, and The Autism Advocate. She has also played an influential role in the advancement of Pyramid Classroom Certification, including expanding its focus on leadership and the systems needed to support effective, sustainable implementation. Catherine is a co-editor of the 2026 book Building the Pyramid: A School’s Journey to Pyramid Classroom Certification in Action.

Catherine brings extensive expertise in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and is passionate about helping teams create meaningful, practical, and sustainable improvements in communication and education.
